"Camp Stillwater" 5th Annual Washington State Black Bear Hunt

"WWIA Camp Stillwater" Hosts John and Dawn Koenig and friends of "John's Guide Service" are proud to bring our warriors the 5th Annual Washington State Black Bear Hunt! A fully guided Black Bear hunt for 4 Warrior/Hunters (1 guide per 2 hunters) with full time second generation guide John Koenig of "Johns Guide Service" and his trusted associate guide Brian Bennett. This is a modern firearm fair chase spot and stalk hunting for Black Bear in the foothills of the North Cascade Mountains. (Warrior/Hunters should be in reasonably good shape and able to hike over somewhat rough terrain up to 8 miles in a day. Arrangements can be made for disabled warriors to be able to be driven along the hundreds of miles of logging roads to hunt but they must be able to get out of a vehicle to glass and shoot long distances over a logging clear cut.) All warrior hunters must provide their own high caliber modern firearm and all firearms should be zeroed in before the trip at 200 yards. Shots can range from 30 yards to over 300 yards.

In consideration for being permitted to participate in the hunting activities of "John's Guide Service", all hunters will agree and acknowledge that hunting has inherent risks, hazards and dangers for anyone that cannot be eliminated, particularly in a wilderness environment. THESE RISKS, HAZARDS, AND DANGERS INCLUDE WITHOUT LIMITATIONS: 1.) Outdoor hazards in driving and hunting in the mountains. 2.) Hiking in rugged country. 3.) Injuries from hunting equipment and other participants. 4.) Encounters with wildlife, animals and insects. 5.) Temperature extremes. 6.) Inclement weather conditions and unavailability of immediate medical attention in the wilderness in case of injury.

All Hunters participating in a hunt with "John's Guide Service" need to understand that these activities require good physical condition and a degree of knowledge necessary to engage in these activities safely. All hunters born after 1972 must complete a Washington State approved hunter safety education course or obtain a military waiver from the state weather or not they reside in the State of Washington to be able to purchase their hunting licenses.

Warrior/Hunters will feel right at home here out our WWIA "Camp Stillwater" facility based right here in the Foothills of the majestic North Cascade Mountain Range getting to know each other and relaxing after a long days hunt

This event also occurs during our annual WWIA Fundraising Event and Warrior/Anglers applying for this event will be asked to attend our annual event on the 5th of August for an evening of fun, food, live music, and live auction to help fund and support all of our "Camp Stillwater" events.

2016 4th Annual Bayfield Cast & Blast -- October 13 - October 17, 2016

(3) Heroes, will fly into Duluth, MN and drive an hour to a big woods paradise with plenty of fish to catch and whitetail deer to hunt in Northern Wisconsin.

Our hosts at Scenic Drive resort will greet you and show you to your log cabin with a great lake view.

The morning of the 13th will be a meet and greet at their lodge so we can all get to know each other and get the camaraderie started.

Musky, Walleye, Smallmouth and Largemouth bass abound in these waters and as seen in the lodge, the woods are teaming with giant white tailed bucks.  If walking is a struggle, we have access to private lands with ATV's.

3 days of hunting and fishing.  Depending on flight times, we'll try to sneak in some other outdoor fun.  The night time shenanigans will also be memorable.

Even though you'll have your hands full with our hunts, wait until you taste the food that's waiting for you. One night, a traditional northwoods fish fry complete with live music.  Another night, we will be dining at Scenic Drive resort for a surprise meal you won't be disappointed with.  Breakfasts will be a treat at the Delta Diner, a refurbished box car, with some of the best food on earth and as featured on Travel Channel and Food Network, they will have your fuel tank full for a full day excursion in the woods or water.

Your guides are no slouches.  You will be fishing with either Jeff Evans, who's been on the cover of Bassmaster Magazine and is the go to guide for TV personality Babe Winkleman, or David Brown, host of the TV show, Keye's Outdoors.  Either guide will put you on giant fish.  Last year's heroes caught 20 largemouth and smallmouth bass, with most of them being over 5 pounds each!  One lucky warrior caught a 38" musky.

We have also made arrangements for you to archery hunt whitetail deer.  Both locations are areas of private land, with food plots, that have a history of producing huge bucks.
